DTF Application Instructions

1. Preparation & Setup

• Settings: Set your heat press to 325°F with 30 lbs of pressure for all materials.
• Trim: Cut your transfers apart, trimming fairly close to the image edges.
• Pre-Press: Load the shirt onto the press. If the garment is wrinkled, pre-press for 5 seconds to create a smooth surface before aligning.

2. Alignment & Placement

• Front Prints: Position the transfer typically 2–3 inches below the collar.
• Back Prints: Position the transfer typically 4–5 inches below the collar.
• Check: Center the image and verify straightness using a ruler or laser alignment tool.

3. Initial Press

• Press: Apply heat for 15 seconds.

4. Cooling & Peeling

• Cool: Let the transfer cool completely. You can allow it to air cool or use metal cooling plates by running them lightly over the top of the transfer.
• Peel: Once fully cool, carefully peel the film away.

5. Final Set

• Finish: Perform a second press for 7 seconds to fully set the design into the fabric.
